About the Children's Choir
* The Children's Choir season goes from September to May depending on any events going on at St. James and our Catholic Parishes of Stoughton Collaborative.
* Our group sings at the 9:30 am Mass on Sundays at St. James.
- One exception to this: Christmas Eve Mass, which is at the 5:00 Mass on Christmas Eve.
* Rehearsals are held on Fridays from 4:00 - 5:00 pm about once a month (unless otherwise noted).
- Rehearsals are not required, but are highly recommended if possible.
- If a child wants to do a solo (usually the Responsorial Psalm and Alleluia), the child must attend rehearsal.
* Report time to church on Sundays is 9:15 or directly after CCD (if child/children go to CCD directly before the 9:30 Mass)
- If a child has a solo, report time is mandatory for 9:15-9:20. This is because the children need time to rehearse with the organist and feel comfortable with what they are singing. After 9:20, the solo will be given away.
* Due to the elimination of the 8:30 and 11:00 Masses, we now combine our efforts with the Adult Choir of St. James.
* Therefore, all ages are welcome!
